Looking for custom acid-etched glass or mirror? Walker TexturesTM Nuance has been created to serve a market need for custom partial surface etched glass or mirror applications. The process creates acid-etched stripes on glass or mirror with a rich and consistent finish and a high quality registration, offering the decorators, designers and architects a truly superior product.

Walker TexturesTM Nuance Custom, uses a flexible technique of tape masking that allows a customer to specify, subject to some limitations, an almost endless combination of etched and unetched linear stripes on the glass or mirror. In addition, etched stripes in our opaque and satin finish can be combined together.

A combination of the satin finish, characterized by a highly polished surface and a high light transmittance, with the frosted appearance of the opaque finish, differentiated by its lower light transmittance and higher level of opacity.

A combination of the opaque finish, characterized by its lower light transmittance and higher level of opacity, and clear glass.

A combination of the opaque finish, characterized by its frosted appearance, polished surface and much lower reflection, and clear mirror.



Substrates

  • Glass or mirror
  • Colors: Clear, bronze, grey, black, green, blue or ultra-clear
  • Glass thicknesses: 3mm to 12mm (1/8" to 3/4")
  • Mirror thicknesses: 3mm to 6mm (1/8" to 1/4")
  • Size: Standard glass size 96" x 130"

Stripes

  • Minimum width: ½ inch
  • Maximum width: 52 inches
  • Stripes must run the full length (edge to edge)
  • Number of stripes per piece varies based on job demand
